I am a little confused about the Democratic National Convention?

I've been reading a few articles on Yahoo! about it, and from what I collected, Bill Clinton is supporting Obama, however, Hillary will also be a Democratic candidate. If Hilary will also be on the ballot, why is Bill supporting Obama, not Hilary?
