My Bff and I like the same guy? (sorry its kinda long)?

I have been friends with (lets call her April) April for 2yrs. I like (lets call him Scott) Scott from wen he 1st moved here last yr. I liked him on and off and i recently found out April likes him to. We decided to see who he picks, meaning that we cant bribe,ask him out or any thing else but i think its unfair because they are in the same homeroom and he is on my bus (were a grade apart) and he doesnt take it any more because he is on downhill ski team. I have really really liked him for a while and i dont want to give him up just because April likes him. What do i do?
