Legally keep motherinlaw away from my kids?

Help! Are there solid strong reasons for a father not ti take kids to his mother's? If I get a duvorce, what I fear is that my husband takes my kids to his mothers house. She is not right in the head, is mentally abusive and selfish and says improper things to my baby and does things that arent right. Ive seen how she treated and semi tried to raise her grandaughter; with time I also learned how my husband was raised too, and I refuse to expose my kids to her! Help I am very very desperate I will do anything to protect my kids from her! Please help me with any advice. My husband refuses to see his mother is abusive, intrusive and wrong, he chose her side and I have no support what so ever
