Is there a correlation between how socially dominant a religion is and how ape-like its people are?
Think of the time when Christianity was at its most dominant; we call that time the ‘Dark Ages.’ We weren’t very advanced then and that time was followed by a period of enlightenment, a period where the influence of a dominant religion was reduced and we call that time ‘Renaissance.’ So we were more ape-like during the ‘Dark Ages’ and our religion was very socially dominant; now that we are less ape-like, religion in our communities is less socially dominant. But there are still areas of the world, like the Middle East, where the religion is still very dominant and the people too are very primitive and ape-like. So there must be a connection between the primitiveness of a people and how socially dominant is their religion, mustn’t there?
