Friend has IPhone, not sure that matters.?

they can IM me, but they dont recieve my IMs on the phone. this problem just started last friday. they can go on the laptop an we can IM with no problem. they even created a new users and same thing happened. they recieve and send to other people with no problem, i can do the same thing. HELP!
